The Library is a pioneer in the field of making movies and film accessible to blind and reading impaired people in Israel. The method, known as AD (audio description) is the insertion of an extra narrative soundtrack that describes what is happening in the scene, while not intruding on the original soundtrack, the dialogue or the music. The Library successfully collaborates with leading creators, and production and distribution companies, and to date has produced over 140 audio described accessible films (in Hebrew), including, Zero Motivation, Galis, Wounded Land, The Farewell Party and many classics such as The Policeman Azulay, Halfon Hill Doesn’t Answer, Salach Shabati and more.
