Who is entitled to register for the Library?

Authorized individuals include:

• Blind and visually impaired people who have difficulty reading even with the use of spectacles, for example due to age related macular degeneration
• People with cognitive disabilities such as dyslexia, learning disabilities, SLI (specific language impairment), ADHD and ADD.
• People with a physical disability that prevents them from holding a printed book, such as ALS, Parkinson’s Disease and so on.

List of required authorizations:

• Blind and visually impaired people – copy of certificate of blindness or doctor’s letter confirming inability to read due to visual or other impairment.
• Learning impairment – you must present your most recent assessment that indicates your reading impairment or In addition you can submit your authorization from your local Educational Psychological Service.
• The elderly – readers over the age of 75 are requested to provide their identification card and official confirmation of difficulty in reading.
• People with other disabilities that make it difficult or prevent them from reading print are asked to provide the Library registration department with medical confirmation of the difficulty.
