Conflict Management and Resolution - Student Booklet

This course is a required extension for students studing the major, "Diplomacy and International Communication in English". The course culminates in grade 12 with an internal bagrut in the form of a performance-based task. The goals for the course are as follows: To examine the basic theories of conflict, why conflict exists and what options there are to manage, resolve and transform conflicts into opportunities for positive social change. To be exposed to the interdisciplinary and intercultural richness of conflict resolution by considering the influence of psychology, sociology, and international relations. To apply theories that underpin conflict management and resolution and learn to evaluate and mediate diverse conflict situations.
