BRAILLE BOOKS:
The Library's set-up comprises computers, optical scanners, special software, sophisticated Braille duplicators, and, above all, a skilled staff which with converts printed books to Braille with thoughtful consideration.
Many people are curious to know what Braille writing is. Rivka Rosenzweig's book, "Braille ?" answers many frequently asked questions. To acquire the book, please contact the Library.
The development of Hebrew Braille was the initiative of the Library.
Nisan Shvoch was the first person who laid out the basic structure, which Rivka Rosenzweig broadened and developed to design Hebrew Braille. The books she wrote contributed to its circulation amongst readers, teachers, parents and the general public. Her extensive activity over many decades was conducted with tremendous talent, dedication and voluntarism.
